Politicians Protect Criminals

PoliticiansGRAPEVINE, TX – Cars waiting for service at Craig’s Collision Center are being broken into, adding more damage and causing more headaches for owners, the co-owner says.

Kyle Van Cleve, who co-owns the repair shop at 2078 W. Texas 114 with his brother, wants to protect those cars from further damage, but the city has rejected one solution, a 10-foot electrified fence.

At a meeting of the Building Board of Appeals this month, Development Services Director Scott Williams told members that Grapevine has not allowed electric fences since 1972.

“The applicant stated this fence does not provide a lethal [jolt], but it does supply pain, and in no way can we support it,” he said of the city staff.

It makes you wonder whose side they’re on, doesn’t it?
